The newly refurbished hotel has 107 guest bedrooms, including 13 suites in the Ambassador Wing. The hotel's recent £5. 2 million refurbishment programme has been carried out in a manner that is conscious of both the building and the immediate environment. Contemporary furnishings and décor complement the hotel's public areas, 107 bedrooms and conference and banqueting facilities. The hotel has a 24-hour reception. The hotel has 3 conference and banqueting suites accommodating up to 100 delegates in a theatre style or 80 in a banqueting style configuration. Unique to a city centre venue, the private landscaped gardens are the ideal break area for delegates. The Terrace Brasserie, with access to the private landscaped gardens, can cater for intimate private dining or more casual bistro-style cuisine. Car parking is available at the hotel.
Forming part of a prestigious Georgian Terrace, the hotel has a prime city centre location within easy walking distance of all major business districts and city attractions. It is a 5-minute walk from Waverley Train station, and easily accessible by road to and from Edinburgh International Airport. The hotel provides an indoor heated swimming pool with sauna and steam room facilities with shower and an aromatherapy shower. Guests have exclusive and complimentary use of the hotel's state of the art on-site full gym facility complemented by Techno gym equipment which provides 8 cardio vascular machines with a state of the art multi-media system, and a selection of free weights. The gym also includes a full air conditioning system and CCTV. The contemporary Terrace Brasserie, with access to the hotel's private landscaped gardens, caters for intimate and relaxed private dining for individuals and groups offering casual bistro-style cuisine. For a quick bite day or night the hotel offers guests a varied snack menu served in the hotel bar/ lounge and 24-hour room service. It operates as a cash bar until midnight then anything after that must be charged to an individual's room account. The hotel bar is open to residents and non residents. Weather permitting, the hotel's private landscaped gardens are the ideal venue for al fresco dining and private BBQ's and functions. A private enclosed dining room for dinner parties for up to 10 people is also available. From the airport take the A8 and follow signs for the city centre. The hotel is located at the east end of Princes Street off Queen Street. At York place take the first exit at the roundabout. At the second roundabout stay in the right hand lane (playhouse on right hand side) and take the third exit onto London road. Take the immediate right turn onto Blenheim place-royal terrace. The hotel is located up hill on the right hand side. |
