We both enjoyed our stay at the George Hotel, the location is excellent, the quality of the hotel and the breakfast was excellent. I would recommend the hotel and look forward to a return visit

Disappointed...

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful — After having read great reviews for The George, and with fond memories after having stayed there as a young child (in the 70's) I have to say I was disappointed with my stay! I have stayed in other, far better hotels in the city. Despite a problem with the booking, (a problem which Lua from the Skoosh team did BRILLIANTLY to solve! BIG thanks to her for that!!!) the hotel did well to accommodate us earlier than normal, but the welcome was cold and the twin room left a lot to be desired. The beds were too close together (we may as well have been sharing), the tiny windows didn't open more than 4cm - no airflow, no fridge and no shops open late in vicinity made our stay average for the high price, and there be better places to stay if you want more from your money.

Excellent Central Accomodation

stayed one night in the george ,had a room towards back of the hotel very quiet ,clean and comfortable Would recommend and stay again Location very central easy access to shops etc Braekfast was busy and most guests of course went late on a sunday morning had to queue for 5 mins but very good variety at Breakfast
