Perfectly located in downtown Edmonton, the Sutton Place Hotel is connected to five major office towers and over 400 stores, businesses and services in the Edmonton City Centre Mall. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the brand new Sir Winston Churchill Square, the Shaw Conference Centre, the City Hall and the Art District, which includes the Edmonton Art Gallery. An underground speedway to the Churchill LRT Station, which provides fast access to all points north and south, also connects the Hotel. The elegantly designed guest rooms feature double or king beds and include over-stuffed pillow top beds and fluffy duvets, in-room safes, custom made furniture, fridges and wireless hi-speed internet access. We stayed for one night at the Sutton Place Hotel in Edmonton, Alberta.

We would recommond this hotel as an acceptable and fairly economical hotel in downtown Edmonton. It is not the place for a special occasion or vacation ( ie. not a resort or a destination property) but if one is just looking for a decent place to sleep, it was good value . It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The linens were nice, except for one very thin, worn-out pillow. The staff was pleasant. The hotel is centrally located. A shopping mall, including Starbucks, and a casino are within one block. Parking is in an adjoining parkade and seems a bit steep at $19.00 for self park. If one is looking for more luxury, the near-by Delta and Fairmont look a lot more elegant and upscale,. However, for a mid-range sleeping alternative, this hotel worked out well for us.

Sutton Place Hotel Good Value For The Money

I would recommend the the Sutton Place Hotel Edmonton. The location is excellent and the price was definitely right. It is a bare bones hotel - no luxuries at all, but it is clean and relatively new and well-kept. Very good value for money and it met my expectations.
