This is a nice 2 star hotel, with a great location to explore Florence by walk or by using the excellent public transports linking different parts of the city. D. O 01. 2010 The hotel is located in a quite area in the center of Florence. The historical centre and the main tourist attractions are apprx. 10 minutes walk away. The hotel is located in a 19th century building, on the second floor without lift. All rooms feature private bathroom with hair dryer. The accommodations are also equipped with colour TV, direct dial telephone and heating.

As of July 2011 Florence is introducing a new city tax to be paid by the guest to the hotel directly prior to their departure. This will be charged up to a maximum of 10 days, per person per day (excluding children under 10 years old). The tax rate ranges from € 1.00 per day for a 1 star hotel to € 5.00 per day for 5 star hotels.

Very run down

The good about this hotel is that it is somewhat centrally located. I took us about only 10 mins walking to the Duomo. The bad is this hotel is very run down. It is relatively clean, but smelly; our bathroom was awful - mold, smell, cracked tiles, really old. Breakfast was the worst we had in Italy - cereal, coffee, two days old buns and some jam are all you can expect for breakfast - all the same every day. The hotel is cheap, and very good location for the money, but service needs improvement and renovation is needed so badly...
