A nice hotel. A little bit away from the city touristic center, yet within walking distance (10-15 minutes). Nice rooms, excellent renovated clean shower with hot water whole day round. Breakfast a bit dissapointing, bad machine coffee, no vegetables. But these are relatively small things. I definately recommend this hotel.

Room was quite small but perfectly adequate. Bathroom was clean, also the linen and beds.The room thermometer didn't appear to work so we switched it off altogether as the room was too hot with the windows closed and with the windows open the noise from the street was awful at night. With the windows shut it was quiet. Breakfast was wonderful - lots of choice and as much as you like. Location was excellent and the staff efficient. Great value for money and would stay again. Guests should be aware that an extra charge is made on leaving. A local tax of 3Euros per person per night is made at check out even if your invoice states inclusive of all taxes.. That's a lot of money and a big surprise at the end of a weeks holiday for a family of four.

This is a very fine hotel and would recommend it to anyone. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were clean, but a bit small for the price. Overall this is a VERY Good hotel.

I'd recommend this hotel simply because the price was right, the breakfast was good and the staff was so helpful and friendly.
The only thing is if you are on the ground floor next to the side street, be prepared to be woken up early with all the noise from the carts that go buy every day for the open market that is a few blocks away.

This hotel gives you what you want, nice breakfast, service-minded and smiling personal, eficient air-condition and a room that was well equipped. Good value for the money. AND: The location, just behind the Duomo is excellent!

The room was well furnished, comfortable and clean.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, making our stay extra enjoyable. The hotel is facing a little park beside the river just a few miutes walk from the Ponte Vecchio. The roof terrace, with views over the park and river is a real oasis, in what can be a hot and bustling city. Have stayed in Florence several times before and this is the best hotel we have stayed at and will recommend it to all our friends.

I normally stay at 5-star hotels that are part of large American hotel chains, mainly Marriotts and occasionally Starwood hotels (Westin-s), so I was a little jittery when making the booking. My fears turned out to have been totally groundless: the hotel was in every possible way excellent, the room was spacious and immaculately clean, the bathroom was super stylish and spotless, all the goodies one would expect to find in the bathrooms of some of the finest 5-star hotels were there and everything was working smoothly. The buffet breakfast was excellent, the service (including the room service) was super kind and friendly and the reception staff were maybe the best I had seen in years - nice and helpful and ready to go the extra mile about whatever whim I managed to come up with. And, of course, the location could not be beat - Lungarno and Tornabuoni.

The bernini was an amazing hotel, the only downer was the size of the room compared to the price. The room was some what small. But how much time do you spend there... right... The quality of the bed was fabulous. But the very best part was the service of the staff and the location of the hotel. 1 minute walking from Ufizi 3 min walking from piazza republica and also The Duomo and about 5 min walking to ponte vecchio. Really everything we wanted to see and do was within very close walking distance, which made it more fun to check out the city as well by night, because we didn't have to go far. Would recommend this to anyone!!

The Strozzi Palace hotel in Firenze's old town gives excellent value for money - placed centrally and offering large rooms and good service. Highly recommended!

It's like a museum in itself. The staff could not have been more helpful and always friendly.

Good value for a 4 star hotel.

We loved this hotel and the staff. What was really nice was knowing the history of the tower the hotel is in. As a trumpet player I was extremely proud to stay in a place where previous trumpet players had been banished in the 1390's. Hence its name at the time of S. Michele dell Trombe.

Il Duca is a small family driven hotel, very close (5 min walk) from the main attractions of Florence, conveniently located away from the traffic. Our double room was spacious and extremely clean. The staff was very friendly, and although their English is not very good, we got along very well. The breakfast is quite limited though, but sufficient to get a good start of the day. Compared to other very costly hotels in the same area, this hotel was perfect for our short vacation in Florence, and I highly recommend it :-)

I would recommend this hotel because of its location and the accesibility to public transport. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was OK, although not as good as other Holiday Inn's I've stayed at...Definately value for money considering the fact that Florence hotels are very expensive. Overall my expectations were met, I must however add that the building is in need of renovation.

Nice hotel. Great localization (800m from Bridge Vecchio,and Domus,among others) . Free wifi. Great staff. It will be a 5 stars if you have the choice to eat lunch and dinner there. Meals in florence are expensive...
