Great location. It is a short cab ride to/from the airport. It has a decent pool and the beach is only a minute's walk away. Good food and atmosphere are across the street at the Bahia Cabana. It is close to the Water Taxi. Shops, restaurants and bars on the A-1-A strip are a long walk or short cab ride away. More shopping, dining and entertainment can be found further Downtown and on Los Olas Blvd. There is a direct line for taxis in the lobby as well as free internet. Complimentary breakfasts in the cafe are included with the room. The rooms are nothing special, but they are functional and adequate. The only downside is the world's slowest elevator. The hotel is overpriced if you pay the published nightly rates, but was a very good deal booking through Skoosh. Just be sure to confirm reservations ahead of time. |

Very nice for the money Close to the beach. You could catch a trolley right out the front door and go where you needed to go for 50 cents.Very nice pool area and clean comfortable rooms. Breakfast bar was a nice plus |

We spent the night here before our cruise. The hotel was fine...everything was clean/comfortable and breakfast was good. They were nice enough to hold our bags (checkout is 11...can't get on the ship until after 2pm) and have a direct line set up to the cab company. The ride to the port was less than 10 minutes, even in traffic. The woman at the front desk when we checked in was a little spacy, but the staff the next day was wonderful! It was just what we were looking for. |

The room was clean and well-maintained. Our door lock broke during our stay and was fixed promptly. The hot breakfast was better than expected. There are no private balconies and no furniture on the shared balcony, but there was adequate seating in the pool area. We were disappointed that the desk staff was not very knowledgeable about nearby restaurants or local transportation. We didn't have a car, so we were hoping to use the Sun Trolley, but we never succeeded. Apparently the schedule is quite erratic. The hotel is located at the south end of Ft Lauderdale Beach, so be prepared to walk a bit to coffee shops and gift stores. There are very good restaurants within walking distance, and a 7-ll convenience store about 1/2 mile away. This was a great place to stay for a short get-away and was pretty quiet even during the Spring Break season. |
