This boutique hotel is situated well for the airport, financial and business districts, convention center, Port Everglades and the beaches. There is a bus stop across the street that will take you straight to the beach and many other attractions are within walking distance. The rooms are com[hidden]able and some have great views. The hotel restaurant is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner - I tried all 3! - and there's also a lounge and Starbucks coffee. The swimming pool, fitness center and whirlpool are located quite near to the street so it can be noisy but other than that it's a nice area. For business travellers, there's also a good business center. The staff are welcoming and friendly.

This hotel is close to Port Everglades, has a variety of restaurants, fast foods, drug stores, liquor stores and supermarkets all within walking distance and is not far from the airport. Rooms are clean, modern and spacious. Behind the front desk, the hotel offers a small free Internet room.There is a beautiful outdoor pool. In the same plaza is a fabulous French bakery with authentic pastries, sandwiches and specialty drinks. The view from the higher floors is impressive - the cruise ships docked and ready to sail. The beach is nearby also. The only negative is a lack of a shuttle from/to airport and from/to Port Everglades, the cruise port. Taxis cost approximately $15 and $10 to these locations.

This was our second pre-cruise stay at the Renaissance Ft Lauderdale on SE 17th St.. Close to Port Everglades it is ideal for this purpose. Staff at reception are incredibly friendly and helpful. Good clean well equipped rooms. Nice comfortable small pool area (albeit with some traffic noise). A friendly bar that serves snacks and also a useful restaurant. Excellent Italian restaurant just across the road and other eateries and shops within walking distance nearby. Not necessarily the cheapest short stay hotel in this vicinity but good quality and value for money. We would certainly stay there again.

Great value but the Pool is next to a main road and very noisey.

Good hotel; nice room and facilities; close to Port and a few restaurants (i,e., Pazzo - VERY good). Fairly good value for the money I paid -- but would not pay full rack rates. Skoosh service was great - good price.
