From the moment guests step inside this establishment, they will know that they are in a uniquely special place. This luxury accommodation evokes not only old-fashioned Hollywood glamour but also offers a wonderful location near the romantic coastline of Galway. The dark and intimate reception area sets the tone, with black glass walls acting as a frame for a tank of Connemara-bred seahorses and a bespoke concierge wall, designed by Philip Treacy. Covered in white Venetian plaster and reminiscent of a seashell, it offers a hint of the surprises yet to come. The public areas on the ground floor extend to over 18, 000 m² with three individually styled and themed lounges and a restaurant, all linked by a raspberry carpeted corridor. The impression is of walking through a particularly glamorous dolls' house, with golden doorways framing the entrance to each room. The 101-room city hotel is air conditioned and welcomes guests into a lobby with a 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, a cloakroom and lift access. Guests can relax and take refreshment in the hotel's bar and restaurant, and business guests will appreciate the conference facilities and WLAN Internet access. Room and laundry services are offered, and guests may leave their vehicles at the hotel's car park or garage.
Located in the west of Ireland, in a city bursting with life, energy and vitality. A world leader in spa design and products, ESPA is located on the upper two floors and includes a 'secret' bamboo garden on the roof. It also has heat treatment rooms, a vitality pool and a glass pavilion (fees may apply). Guests can also work out in the hotel gym and then relax in the sauna and steam room or with a massage or spa treatment (all subject to additional fees). Matz offers a contemporary Irish menu with a European influence. The establishment's distinctive approach to design is carried through to the restaurant, with banquettes in purple velvet and jewel-coloured Andrew Martin chairs. By car: from Galway Airport - at the airport exit, turn left. Follow signs for 'Galway R339' for 3. 5 km. At the junction with the N6, at the Lynch roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the dual carriageway. At the Morris roundabout, take the 1st exit (signposted 'city centre'). On arrival at Skerritt Roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Dublin Road. Proceed to the French Roundabout. On approach keep in the right hand lane (the hotel can be seen located on the right). Take the 4th exit - as though heading back out of the city (signposted Limerick/Dublin). The hotel is located immediately on the left just after Reid Furniture. |
