Auteuil Hotel

Definitely recommend this hotel - close to station, very nice rooms, courteous and helpful staff, and a first-class breakfast. For Switzerland (!), it was excellent value for money. The neighbourhood is slightly seedy, but the hotel is super. Short walk to the Lake.

The hotel is modern, shiny, chic. My room looked out at the railroad but the windows were soundproof. The air conditioning was state-of-the art. I ordered coffee in the morning and it was delivered within two minutes, every day during a 4-day stay. I'd stay there again. I felt safe as a single woman traveler.

- superb location right next to train station, less than 10 minutes away.

- free travel passes given away to guests

- clean modern room, well designed bathrooms

- room size large for Europe

- great bathroom ammenities, like exfoliating soap!!

- striking distance of all major sights in Geneva

- efficient staff (this is Switzerland!!)

- will return if and when in Geneva again

The staff were very helpful with check in, they were ploite and curteous. The room was clean and modern ideal for an overnight stay. It was very handy close to the railway station, some noise could be heard biut it didn't bother us. Breakfast is the typical swiss breakfast, cold meats and bread. Cereal is available and some hot food but don't expect a full english!
The only downsides to this hotel were the duvets, they were too short for the bed! We found a spare one but not all rooms have them. The shower head is also very low you have to bend to get underneath it. You don't have to be tall to come across this problem. I would recommend this hotel dispite the couple of shortfalls

Great Hotel within easy reach of the train station. Interior design very impressive, everywhere spotlessly clean and staff friendly & helpful
