Cristal is a 3 star hotel in Geneva. The hotel is situated on a quiet street just off the pedestrian lake bound Rue du Mont-Blanc. It overlooks a quiet street and square in the heart of the city, a few minutes from the train station and is within close proximity to the shopping streets.
This hotel is mainly suitable for individuals, due to its size. The hotel offers a great base from which to explore Geneva and the surrounding area. Included for all tourists in the price of all hotels is a free transportation card, which is valid for the entire length of stay for all guests booked in the hotel. The card is valid on trains, buses, trams and the local lake water taxi 'Les Mouettes'. 0907SO.
The building is modern, with a small brightly lit entrance.
The lobby is small with glass and marble decor and some large plants. There is a separate lounge area decorated in similar style and black leather seating.
The restaurant is brightly lit with floor to ceiling windows.
The rooms are small to medium in size. Some rooms are decorated in pleasant contrasting colours with whitewashed walls, whereas the other rooms are a bit more old fashioned. All rooms and bathrooms are in good condition.
1 kms to city centre, 1 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 10 kms to the nearest airport (geneve-cointrin), 4 km to the nearest fair site (palexpo), Close to the station (cornavin).

clean, large, simple room. 24 hour reception. large selection of breakfast. 1-2 minute walk to train station, which is around the corner. there are quite a few people out at night so my wife and i felt safe. good value. would recommend.

The location is perfect, near to the stations, market & the lake , however I think they need to put new carpet !!!.

We were three persons so the room needed one extra bed nevertheless, I was sleeping on that bed , you want the truth I didn’t like it much cuz it was just opposite the bath room in far corned & no air condition reached there so I felt so hot !.........

Anyway ….it may happen to me only ………don know but I think the hotel management have to think to relocate the beds in the rooms otherwise it was ok

Good location. However the hotel backs onto a carpark and the thumping music and noise from the pubs and clubs below dont exactly promote a great nights sleep. I found the room somewhat dirty and damp.

I think you should check this hotel again. Your description of 'reasonably quiet' was not my experience. I had a back room, 211, and there was loud music on Sunday night from a bar overlooking the square. After it closed there was loud banging of car doors in the square itself , the base of the shower unit was chipped and the breakfast was poor. Full marks, however, for location.
