Positives: I got upgraded to a junior suite for free; spacious room and lot of amenities; price was low ($280) for a 4-star in Geneva.
Negatives: location - close to train station but not close to anything else; VERY annoying noise (and vibrations) from trains every couple of minutes (I was one 2nd floor) - I came close to asking for another room but I was too tired and stayed only one night.
Overall: I think it's possible to find a better hotel for the price even if the alternative is a 3-star hotel.
