The Rica is perfect, if you're looking for a affordable, centrally located hotel in Göteborg. We've used the one in Stockholm as well. There's no luxury here, but it's clean and effient, and the staff is very helpful. The best part about it though, is the location, especially if you arrive by train, as the station is only a 2 minuts away on foot.

The rooms have been recently renovated and have a modern style. The rooms are clean. Breakfast was good. The location is also good. Central. The outside view of the hotel is not that impressive. However, I would say that it is a good 3-star hotel and it is good value for money. The rooms are relatively large, specially double rooms. The bathroom was clean and modern style. The hotel is located in a quiet street.

Good value for money. Good location if you want to go to Liseberg or Universeum! (Ca. 20 minutes to walk, ca 5 minutes by tramway).

Its a nice hotel close too Liseberg and Uderversum and Ulevi.
Good bed's nice bathroom, But verry noise from traffick,rom besaide and consert in the city.
It cost 1800kr for 2 nights 1 man and 1 childe whide a breekfest in julay.
Yes its ok but it can be verry noise tyn walls.

They dont have much parking space.

The room where nice. The pillows in the bed wher too small/thin, but the rest where up to expectations.

The breakfast where verry good.

The doors to the rooms made a loud noice, that esepesially was verry irritating when the guest next door came back in the middle of the night.

All in all it was goog value for money, an I would rocommend it to others

Location is excellent for those traveling with car. Rooms are OK. Breakfast is excellent. You do not find such breakfast in much more expensive hotels. Personal is very helpful. Hotel has a small pool. Very good for those with children.

It was not my main hotel in Gothenburg, and it was only for one night. Access from the hotel into the city centre by bus and tram was not particularly difficult. Both were frequent.
Reception was very friendly on arrival. There were some very good points, as follows:-
It was quiet at night.
The bed was comfortable.
The television worked.
The shower worked, which was essential.
Breakfast had plenty of choice.
There was a free evening meal after arrival.
There was plenty of space to sit down at breakfast.

Overall the Novetel Gothenburg was a good hotel, was clean and tidy, but generally lacked atmosphere. Location was not bad with the trip into the centre on the 3 or 9 tram taking 25 mins (or you could walk which took over an hour).

The reception staff were very helpful. Room was well set up when we arrived but unfortunately the room was not tidied or the towels replaced on the second day. Breakfast was excellent with a wonderful and varied selection. One minor problem - when a hotel offers Internet in reception they also have to put in place a system to prevent it being dominated by certain guests.

Would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Gotheburg.

We were looking for a decent hotel in Gothenburg prior to flying back to the states the next day. This hotel far exceeded our expectations. The rooms were nice, but in addition to a free breakfast we were treated to a free afternoon tea/coffee/pastry session, and then surprise: A free dinner! We were tired at the end of our vacation, so I have to admit that the hotel was so pleasant, we never left it! We just holed up, enjoyed the food, the room, the free internet and the quiet. I highly recommend it!

Scandic Europa has a great location in the center of town close to the train/bus/airport bus station. Very clean, great staff.
