Intercity Hamburg Altona is a 3 star hotel in Hamburg. Located 12 mins from the centre of Hamburg by public transport and two metro stops from the Reeperbahn, the Intercity Hotel Altona has good connections to most of Hamburg's main attractions. This is backed up by the complimentary ticket offered by the hotel for all public transport within Hamburg upon arrival - valid for your entire stay!

There are two room categories at the hotel, standard and business. The quality of both is identical, with bright, modern decoration. The business rooms have some additional amenities including tea/coffee maker and WAN internet access.

An extensive Breakfast is served in the "Wintergarten" Restaurant, available at an additional charge of €12 per person per day if you'd like to take advantage of this. For lunch and dinner the same restaurant offers international and local cuisine and has a wide range of local specialities. The fish dishes are excellent (as the harbour and the famous "Fishmarket" is just a short walk away).

The Intercity Altona is ideal for any traveller who wants to enjoy the harbour and amusement culture Hamburg is famous for and also stay in a hotel which is relaxed and quiet. The Hotel is also recommended for its value for money. Harbour and river excursions are also in a short range.

Good hotel, excellent location to visit all aspects of the city. The hotel travel pass, U Bahn /S Bahn, is a great idea and really makes travelling around the city very easy.The staff were quite friendly and very helpful. All in all a good experience.

Altona is a convenient location to explore the city, especially with the free pass you'll get from the hotel for public transport. Room are quite small but are tidy and the shower is very good. The breakfast buffet is a good start of the day.

The property is a mid range Hotel next to the Railway Station. It lacks Air-con and during hot weather the rooms are boiling hot (I had to go buy a fan) If a window is left open you get to hear the Station noise! The restaraunt is only open at limited times. The decor on the floors is more suited to an office block. Not the best hotel I have stayed in, it is more like a bottom end budget hotel. Great if you like Trains!!

Excellent, good location just outside of the Reeperbahn. Hotel is right next to the underground system and with the free pass for public transport it is really easy to get about. The only bad point being that the train announcements are a bit noisy if the window is open.
