The Lumen Hotel is a lovely 3-star hotel located a few metres away from the central station and offering a very good value for money service and product. The comfortable and clean bedrooms all have cable television, hairdryers in each bathroom, telephone, radio via television and modem connection. Guests will enjoy a full continental breakfast in the cosy breakfast room before starting a day of shopping and sightseeing around Hamburg and its old town and its pedestrianised areas with trendy shops. The Lumen hotel being a privately owned property, the owner is often seen around, ready to greet guests and happy to advise them on what is best to do during their stay in Hamburg. And for example, one of the advices could be not to miss an opportunity to taste some wonderful, fresh fish in the Portuguese restaurants near the harbour.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful — The hotel offered reasonable rates for its central train station area and was clean and met our expectations with friendly basic service. I did not like the steep steps to the reception area on the first floor with no elevator making luggage carrying hard for mature travellers.

Good location near the Hauptbahnhof and shopping precinct. Walking distance to the lake. Great breakfast. Very clean and quiet.
