A&O Hamburg Reeperbahn is a 1 star hotel in Hamburg. The Hotel Stern is a good option for those wishing to find low price accommodation of a reasonable standard in Hamburg. Situated directly on the Reeperbahn, the home of Hamburg's famous red light district, this hotel may not suit everyone, but is nevertheless well liked by business and leisure travellers alike. Most rooms are set back from the street, where you can be assured of a quiet night's sleep.

Accommodations are basic and simple, but all rooms conform to strict standards of cleanliness and comfort, all with en suite bathrooms (mostly shower, not bathtub), TV and alarm clock. There is no telephone in the room, and doors operate via a high tech system, allowing access only with your personally assigned code until the time of check out, for your complete security. Towels and toilet paper are provided but bring your own soap!

The hotel entrance is just off the main street, through a small courtyard where there is parking available for hotel guests on request. Breakfast is available for an additional charge of €4.50 per person per day, payable at the hotel, and is served buffet style in the spacious breakfast room overlooking the Reeperbahn. The room features a nautical theme, and the buffet is actually laid out in a boat!

The hotel reception is only open until 11pm, but there is always someone on call for emergencies. There is a cafeteria in the lobby area, where you can help yourself to hot drinks from the coffee machine. Lifts operate in most parts of the building but not all.

The overall appearance of the Stern is somewhere between a youth hostel and a large motel, but the rooms are of a surprisingly high standard and represent excellent value for money for the traveller on a budget.

Exactly what I expected..............Its cheap and basic and clean and impersonal............with the most powerful shower I`ve ever encountered in my life......
Location is excellent for the crazy nightlife of Hamburg............and its right next to S bahn so handy for travel.
In my opinion its more a "lads"hotel than anything else

the stern hotel was right in the middle of all the nightlife very good starting location for groups of people wanting a good time .hotel was clean and tidy and very helpful.

the stern hotel is basic but very clean,it has everything you need in the rooms.the main + side for us staying at this hotel was its location,ie near to the nitelife,which it was.

Hello I stayed in the Stern Hotel in Hamburg midweek Tuesday to Thursday. I found it to be sufficient for a budget hotel but was a bit concerned about the hygiene regarding the duvet's. They were quite old and dirty looking and I would advise the owner's to update same. Other than that I would recommend the Stern as a cheap basic place to lay your head while enjoying all that Hamburg has to offer

A very basic dorm-style hotel right in the heart of Hamburg's red-light area, the Reeperbahn.

The location is very convenient for the docks (well worth visiting), metro (St Pauli station at other end of short Reeperbahn) and is full of bars and cafes - don't stay here is you're unhappy with the (pretty harmless in this case) sleaze of a red-light area.

Absolutely no frills with the hotel but it's secure and safe. Single rooms are tiny but clean and the double-glazing keeps the constant noise out.
