This historic hotel was fully renovated in the year 2006 and features a garden as well as a terrace. It comprises 2 buildings with a total of 460 rooms of which 18 are apartments and 318 are bungalows. Facilities at this air-conditioned hotel include a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a safe, as well as a bar, a restaurant, a Internet café and a hairdressing salon. Available for company or private events are a number of conference rooms with various capacities (20, 40, 60, 120 and 300 people). Hotel guests may also make use of the laundry and room services as well as Internet access and fax servics. This city hotel lies in the residential area of Miramar, close to the Palacio de Convenciones and only minutes from the old town. It is only 15 km to the José Marti international airport. Poor Customer Service

I will begin with the positives: 1) Decent breakfast buffet with omelets, juices, cereals, etc. 2) Bungalows are spacious & well equipped. The negatives: 1) The man made beach is neglected and looks sad. 2) Shady money exchange: More than one worker at the currency exchange window tried to swindle me for money when making an exchange. The first time the lady only counted 435 Euro when I had given her 485 Euro. She insisted until I demanded she recount the money in front of me. The other lady only tried to "miscount" by 20 Euro and threw an attitude when I asked her to recount it. Both were not happy that I asked for a receipt. 2) Poor customer service: Hot water wasn't working in bungalows and they wanted to charge us extra for a room that was a downgrade.
