The hotel used to be the mansion of the Marquis and Captain of the French Navy, Don Pedro Claudio Duquesne. Once visited by the most select nobility of the time, ecclesiastical dignitaries, military authorities and renowned artists. The house has rooms with exclusive ambiance, a lobby-bar that is decorated with pieces of art, stained-glass windows, statues of monks made out of copper and altarpieces, as well as a quiet inner courtyard with a beautiful fountain and an old well.
