The establishment's impressive surroundings are somewhat eclipsed by its decorative lobby, adorned with ornamental tiles, sculptures and a singular architectural style. Often used for local conferences, it is also the venue for Havana's annual New Latin American Film Festival. The rooms are quite large with decoration kept to a minimum.

Excellent hotel although food and drink on the expensive side worth a visit. Two great restaurants on the doorstep El Huron Azul Humbolt 153, el O y P dont be put off by the exterior and La Roca 21 esq M.
