Highly recommend . Absolutely magnificent breakfast and hotel´s pool. Excellent rooms and bed. Nothing negative to say , maybe small negative things attach to laguage but so tiny that they vanish into positive things.
Next time I know where to go.

Very high priced for a hotel in Havana. If you can afford it, go for it. I don't think there is anything nicer.

The area surrounding the hotel is in the heart of the city so be prepared for some hustlers and begging outside the hotel.
With that said the room are amazing some have great views other don't, but don't let that put you off. Just go outside for any amazing photography opportunities.

The bathrooms and beds a very clean. Rooms felt very safe to store your belonging in. Our friends left out their laptops and they where fine. Also free wifi in the room! (no fast but a connection for your email)

Walking distance to a lot of great spots.

We are the sort of travellers who avoid large hotels whenever possible, but the history of Tryp Havana Libre enticed us. It was an excellent decision. Although there is a general shabbiness about the corridors (carpets in need of replacement, etc) our room on 21 Floor was a knockout. Almost bigger than our own house, it was clean and had a spectacular view across the bay and old Havana. And then there's the revolutionary relevance of the hotel to imbibe. We loved every minute of our stay. If you are not sympathetic to the predicament of Cuba under the pernicious US embargo, you may find some fault with the place. However, we relished the experience. And the memorial plaque to Irish martyr Bobby Sands and his comrades in nearby Victor Hugo park, was an added discovery that links the shared sentiment of freedom fighters in Cuba and around the world.

The service was good, the food average in the buffet - better in both restaurants.
The beach often had red flag 6 of the 8 days we were there due to stinging jellyfish and strong currents. The 2 times we got out snorkling we saw a great variaty of fish and living corals.

I like the big balcony where you could have your breakfast in the sunshine,with birds around.I do not like the internet service there,but it seems to be same for every hotel there.I also do not like the TV in the room,it seems to be small compared with the big room.It is not my first visit there,so I think the cost of this hotel is a little bit higher,but maybe it is because it is the peak tourism season.

It was as expected, I was aware of the quality. The room was clean and the personal friendly. The restaurant on the 7th floor could have been better. Clean tablecloths would help a lot.

The facilities themselves are great. Pools, sandy beach, decent food, friendly American guys making you feel welcome, rooms are fine with air con, tv etc, only drawback is the distance from the nightlife and the lack of 18-30 types, but if you want a relaxing holiday this is recommended.

this hotel is not for those who want deluxe first class, but it is definitely a good choice for guests desiring a place to stay that has some local charm, Havana flavor, and Cuban character.

It was ok, rooms clean, access to reception, internet, rent-a-car, snakbar, lobby and pool from every side, good staff, breakfast too simple. Good value for the money. Area around very nice, safe and green :)

The hotel's great, the service is very good for what it is, the personel very helpful and friendly, speak english very well. It's nocely situated, close to almost everything, just between the Olc city and the Center. Nice and clean, very tasty breakfast, cheap but good quality restaurant just downstairs, very quiet at nights. The only disadvantage - there was no window (but it didn't matter much for me, as I intended only to sleep in the room) and it's not always that you can get hot water. Oh, and the mohito in the lobby bar is deffinitely the best I've tried in Havana! :)

On this trip we had our toddler and infant. Thus certain qualities became very important: cleanliness, convenience, comfort, good service, quality in house dining. The Palacio fulfilled all of that. Furthermore, the ambiance of being in a grand mansion heightened the experience of being in Havana. The cons were minor: frequent glitches in food orders, the room needs a little touch up. Overall, a great experience.
