The hotel is in a good location for the sights of Hollywood and is a good base for exploring other LA sights. A car is a must for LA as it is so spread out. We had a view of the Hollywood sign and the city from our hotel window which was great. The hotel pool was closed while we were staying but we weren't planning to use it anyway so this did not really matter. Overall a good couple of nights, the room was quiet, nicely furnished, big enough and clean with a great view.

We found the hotel to be very clean and elegant, however, we felt a bit uncomfortable because we were on a family vacation and not on business. We found the hotel to be 100% business oriented and not for families on vacation. The hotel has a lot of conference rooms. The majority of the people there were on business. We found the hotel pool to be small for such a big hotel. The beds were comfortable but queen size beds were rather small for 2 adults to sleep comfortable. It seemed like they were full size instead of queen. We were 3 adults in a room with 2 queen beds and after the first night we had to request a roll away bed because it was not comfortable for 2 adults to sleep on the bed. Walking distance to the Chinese theatre and walk of fame which was good.

The hotel is nice enough, but their service leaves much to be desired. We had a lot of problems checking in. When we got to the counter, with the reservation from Skoosh they could not find the reservation. She searched on the computer for 30 minutes before she got the manager. Once the manager came over her made a call to someone in the back and 30 seconds later they found the reservation. Apparently , they entered the reservation on the wrong day and searching the computer using our names didn't work. Then they sent us to the wrong room, then our keys didnt work, etc. The hotel is in a great location, very centrally located, but we will not be going back there any time soon

The staff was friendly, helpful and extremely accommodating; however, there were several mistakes on the part of the hotel (reservation under the wrong name, though they managed to bill the correct card, requested room/beds not available, room not available at hotel's established check-in time, luggage not delivered to room as scheduled).

Great size room, nice accommodations, a convenient location and I must emphasize again how fantastic the staff was in addressing my issues.

Overall a nice experience.
