Pacific Beach Hotel is a 3 star hotel in Honolulu.
Located directly across from Waikiki Beach and home to the three-story, 280, 000-gallon indoor oceanarium. Driving from Honolulu International Airport to hotel takes approximately 17 minutes in light traffic.
Would definitely recommend to all but the richest, pickiest travelers.
The location was wonderful! The employees were considerate, patient and very helpful. The furnishings were showing a bit of wear but that was the only negative I can think of. We upgraded to an oceanview and the views of Diamond Head and the ocean were spectacular from our 35th floor balcony. (There are two towers but I know nothing about the other tower.)
We thought it was an excellent value. To us, it was not inexpensive and it was worth every penny.
Were our expectations met? YES! The quality of our accomodations greatly exceeded our expectations.

This hotel is way to expensive. It is not on the beach, you have to cross the street to get to the beach. My so call ocean view had a building in front of it. The breakfast buffet was $17.00 and appealed to the guest from Japan and they had alot. Also there is a $15.00 a day charge for parking that's right $15.00 a day for guest of the hotel to park.

Would recommend if your priority is staying close to Waikiki Beach. Location is excellent, hotel condition is OK. Rooms are OK, Beds are OK. Carpet needs to be replaced and rooms are reletively spartan. Hotel especially good for kids.

For the price we paid, we expected a higher standard of quality. Upon check-in, the front desk were polite but not very organized: they couldn't find our reservation in their system and our room was not ready, so we had to wait for two hours. The hotel Internet options are unacceptable: either you pick up an expensive wireless signal from municipal wi-fi, or you can use the hotel business center for 25 cents per minute. The room was not exceptionally well furnished and we got two full size beds instead of the queen one we requested. No explanation or apology was given. Our reservation included breakfast, but we were told that we would have to pay for it: after 30 minutes spent trying to print our voucher from the business center, we finally convinced them that it was included. I feel like we had to fight for everything.
