We stayed for 3 nights in early april. Reception was helpful with a quick checkin and helped me with adaptors to charge my drained fones n ipads as the plugs are differently shaped from dubai - my place.Rooms were good and clean though not very big with a nice balcony facing the lake though it was raining n cloudy unfortunately for me. Rooms have a nice log hut feel. Dining area is nice but 50 metres away n no room service, need to be punctual with timings. Housekeeping needed to be reminded once as rooms not done up on day 2.The property is very scenic wen the sun is out n especiallly in the summer. But disadvantages icmode a bus service to interlaken town every hour were u need to go to catch the trains n dine for a change or shop. So a if u dont have car uwait.Valueformoney

Staff were very pleasant throughout our stay. Room was clean and bed was comfortable (although not a true double bed). Shops and restaurants nearby which provided better value meals than the hotel itself. Still breakfast was pleasant and staff personable. Overall really good value for money.

Interlaken is expensive but this hotel - if pre-booked - is very reasonably priced yet doesn't disappoint when you get there. The breakfast buffet was extensive, the staff very friendly and helpful and the room was of a good size and perfectly clean.

Les PLUS: la situation à moins de 10 minutes à pied de la gare d'Interlaken-West, le personnel extremement gentil, le petit dejeuner.
Les MOINS: une chambre single petite et plutot mal equipee (lit mediocre, moquette tache, table cheap ...) et donnant sur le devant, soit sur la route : la vue est splendide (la Jungfrau), mais le bruit constant la journee, et desagreable meme la nuit (tel chauffard fou du volant à minuit, tel motard petaradant à 3 heures du matin), donc j'ai dormi fenetres et volets fermes, à 25 degres dans la chambre (malgre l'aeration pendant la soiree) ...
Les chambres doubles semblent avoir une taille correcte.

We would definitely recommend it to others. The owners are so very sweet and helped us with anything and everything that we asked for. They encouraged us to make ourselves feel at home and made a point to interact with all of the guests staying at the hotel. The room was small, but we didn't spend much time in it. Location is excellent, we were able to walk to everything.

Positives:
Centrally located hotel only five minutes walk from the railway station.
Room was nicely decorated and spacious and had an excellent bathroom and toiletries.
We were delighted that there was a jug (kettle) and tea and coffee supplies so we could make our own cuppas. Bottled water (still and fizzy) were also replenished daily.
Comfortable beds and armchairs.
Free internet - wireless and cabled.
Nice balcony.
Negatives: Street noise. The air-conditioning was non-existent so we needed to leave our window open at night (it was safe) otherwise the room became stuffy. In the middle of the night the street was quiet but late evenings and early mornings were noisy and disrupted our sleeps.
Breakfasts were good but weren't replenished as often as they might have been, especially scrambled eggs and cheeses.
Lots of flies in eating areas, but this may just have been an Interlaken thing.

I highly recommend this hotel..it is a few bus stops away from Interlaken Train Station, but easily accessibly by bus before 5pm. The staff was very friendly and gave us good tips on how to tailor our itinerary.

We had two nights at the Goldey in May 2008. The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel has a great setting, not only to the river, but to the town, just the other side of the river.

We originally booked in a north facing room, but were able to upgrade to a south facing room, overlooking the river. This was superior room, and well worth the extra CHF 40 per night.

We were particularly impressed with the breakfast and the room it was served in, also with the free afternoon tea that was served every day. It was handy to be able to book excursions from the hotel and there was plenty of information available for guests.

We think that it was good value for money, was spotlessly clean and we would definitely recommend it to others.

To start with, the chalet swiss is a good hotel. its 3 star like facilites and structure and facilities are quite good. The room was not great - it was great in size and view ( snow covered peaks ! ! !) but it lacked good furnishings. The bed was okay but all the time you were living under the fear of the person staying on the floor above you breaking into your room as a result of the ceiling being very shaky. The sound of the foot steps on the floor above were a real nuisance and i pity the people living below our room. The tv was ridiculously small. The breakfast was good. Location was okay though thats not a problem as interlaken is very small.

f you are getting a decent price- i would say go for it!! we booked late and paid a high price.

Stayed for 4 nights at med of Oct-2009
I would recommend this hotel to you. The hotel has a general garage for only 8 SHF. Every day, the room service put one chocolate for each person in the room even for chilled. The reception staffs were very nice welcoming and helping. The breakfast was good. The hotel is placed in and 10 mints walking to both train stations.
This hotel was as standard 4* hotel.
