Goldey

We had two nights at the Goldey in May 2008. The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel has a great setting, not only to the river, but to the town, just the other side of the river.

We originally booked in a north facing room, but were able to upgrade to a south facing room, overlooking the river. This was superior room, and well worth the extra CHF 40 per night.

We were particularly impressed with the breakfast and the room it was served in, also with the free afternoon tea that was served every day. It was handy to be able to book excursions from the hotel and there was plenty of information available for guests.

We think that it was good value for money, was spotlessly clean and we would definitely recommend it to others.

We have just returned from Interlaken and highly recommend the Goldey. The location is excellent overlooking the water, the room was exceptionally clean, and the breakfast was phenomenal! It was wonderful starting out the day in the restaurant which is surrounded by glass overlooking the river. The breakfast is magnificent, eggs,sausage,breads,yogurts,cheeses,juices,granolas,and coffee. The staff is extremely helpful. This is definetely the hotel we'll book on return.
