The rooms were clean and quiet - Friday nights were a little raucous but we didn't notice inside the rooms. The people were helpful and the breakfast (included) was good. The maids cleaned every day and the television even worked. The attached Ipanema Cafe was also good with competitive prices. You could walk through the lobby and directly to Happy Surf, a windsurf rental agency on the beach with excellent employees. The only complaint we might have had was that we booked for a week and needed 5 more days. The price was 60% higher per day so we checked around and found another hotel (same owner) for the original price. The manager would not come down in price so we moved. Our take was that they just didn't care enough to keep us there in low season when the rooms were only partly booked. We would go back.
