Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is a 4 star hotel in Jasper. Fairmont rooms are on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th rows from the lake and in the main building and have either one king, one queen or two twin beds that will accommodate two occupants comfortably. Guestrooms feature alarm clock-radio, cable television with in-room pay movies, coffeemaker and kettle, ceiling fan or electric fan, computer data port, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, telephone with voice-mail and windows that open for fresh air. Fabulous service and room. Waking up to the elk eating in front of your cabin is truly the Canadian experience. Can't say enough.

Jasper is on my list of the most beautiful places in the world- talk about nature's majesty! Without question, the Fairmont Jasper is the best hotel for a hundred miles. Everything else in town is a tacky motel. The main building with all the public spaces is OK and consistent with the 4 1/2 star rating. The guest rooms are more Best Western than Fairmont and suffer from lack of capital investment. The property needs a top to bottom refurbishment. The furniture in our junior suite was a hodge podge of styles and battle scarred. There were several maintenance issues. That said, we had 200 sq ft of glass looking out on a stupendously beautiful view, Fairmont's wonder bed and the benefit of traditional Fairmont service. The pricey restaurant had fair food and excellent service. If Fairmont put $20MM into JPL, it would be hard to criticize.

We had a wonderful time. This resort has everything. When we arrived we were upgraded to a Lake View Suite. My wife and I had a wonderful time.

Had a totally relaxing stay. Lovely setting and great service. Meals at the hotel are expensive but very good. First class all the way. Our room was comfortable and nicely appointed.
The only issue was the hot water in the shower . Apparently in the winter there is a problem supplying hot water to the cabins, this was not a new issue and should have been solved before winter.

A return trip to Jasper Park and just as enjoyable as the first. A truly wonderful setting with first class ammenities, what else could you ask for a holiday hotel!
