Maligne Lodge

I would certainly recommend this hotel.Centrally located for all the major attractions such as Whistler mountain tram, downtown is 3 minute drive. The hotel is pricey as comparred to our normal price range but Jasper in summer months is very expensive anywhere and the price we got from Swoosh was very reasonable.Our second floor room was very clean and well maintained but has no elevator so stairs are mandatory. The scenery in the area is amazing as is the wildlife viewing , we had 21 Elk walk through a major intersection about 500 ft from our hotel. Everyone stopped and took pictures, they are so tame you walk right up within 5 feet.On our drive to Maligne lake (approx. 30 min). we saw Black bears, Mountain sheep , Gray Wolf, and some of the most spectacular scenery in the world.
