Spent 4 nights over New Year period. It does have a very grand appearance, with very spacious and well appointed rooms. On check-in, we were shown to a twin room, despite being booked into a double. We had to lug our luggage down stairs to swap for a double as booked - after we'd tipped the porter! Second room was a little smaller, but with huge double bed. Staff were very polite and helpful, and reception staff spoke good english.
Pay for TV didn't work in our room, and only international news channel was France24, but a fairly minor issue I know.
Breakfast was a bit of a let down for a 5 star hotel, and we're still not sure what was "American Breakfast" about it, as described!
Overall, it was good value for money and we enjoyed our stay. Would happily stay again.
