Upon arriving at the Banff National Park gates visitors will be required to pay a fee. Entry and service fees are charged at most national parks and national historic sites, where revenue is vital in supporting visitor services and facilities. After paying the fee continue to follow the signs for the hamlet of Lake Louise, continuing on the TransCanada Highway. Forty minutes past the Town of Banff take a turn-off to the right, marked for Lake Louise. Turn left at the top of that road, proceed through 2 stop signs and continue straight along this road, uphill (4 km, 2. 4 miles). This will lead directly to the front doors of the hotel. The trip will take about 2. 5 hours from Calgary, weather permitting. Calgary is 183 km from Lake Louise. |
