i knew we were going to arrive late so i called the front desk before we left to ensure we got our desired room type. not a problem unlike some hotels. arriving at night gaves a whole different perspective--mysterious and romantic. the decor is warm,inviting and intrigueing. room was comfortable, bed was fabulous and products were of high quality. sliding door opened all the way to allow for good ventilation. the grounds were stunning, even though it is dessert landscaping. they have a resident tortoise and i saw a roadrunner walk up one of the ramps to the lounge area. dogs are welcome. ate breakfast and lunch at rick's. was quite good as was the service. do take the free garden tour w/ed if you are interested in gardening--delightful and entertaining. only negative-smoking section is not segregated so you will get smoke in your room from below if sliders open.

What a wonderful hotel. No gambling here! Great pools, separate kids pool with waterslide (my daughter spent hours there!)

If you want a quiet place to relax, this is the place. Restaurants are good. Rooms were really nice. Grounds of hotel superb.

Very close to Lake Mead, Hoover Dam and Valley of Fire.
Takes about 30 minutes to get to the Strip. I would definitely reccommend that you have a car if you stay out here.

Great value for the money.

yes, hughly recommended.
We liked the relaxed atmosphere. attentive &accomodating staff. No stink from cigarettes (like the casino type hotel).
Kind of a drive from the strip if you intend to go there.

The staff was great, the room nice, and the food was excellent. What a view of the lake, very relaxing!

We were taken care of very well!! Great service! But, too far from the strip if you are looking to go there at all. I would go there again, very beautiful and resort feel!
