We were disappointed in the Trump Tower

 2/5

Review by: , Lake Forest, United States

Stayed: Jul 2008

We arrived at the Trump Tower Hotel at around 4:00pm and our rooms were not ready. We just came off of being on a houseboat trip for 8 days and really were looking forward to a shower and a nice dinner in Las Vegas. So we were extremely disappointed that we had to wait for several hours until our rooms were ready. We were grubby and even had to call to find out if our rooms were ready yet. We didn't get into them until around 6:30pm! By the time we showered and got ready to go to dinner it was 8:30pm! We had kids with us and they were tired by then. Our whole evening was ruined. We were too late to go to a show or anything. I think the Trump Tower needs some better customer service. No one should have to wait for a room past 3:00pm!

What a Joke

The thing is, although we made reservations at Meridian, we did not stay there! We were greeted at the gate by a manager saying Meridian lost it's license and we could not stay there because we were staying less than 30 days. No one called us ahead of time. They sent us to a different hotel which did NOT even have our reservations. I'm thinking Meridian stole our money but thanks to Skoosh.com and Tourico our reservations were moved to the Trump. That was the good thing, skoosh took care of us. If it was left to Meridian, we would have stayed at some Alexis resort which had NONE of the amenities like Meridian. Im guessing no one can stay at meridian for awhile, but SKOOSH.COM was a lifesaver. They offered a good deal and the trump was simply elegant.

We loved the Meridian Suites in Las Vegas

What a great place! Truly only a 7-minute walk to the Strip, a gorgeous beautifully decorated and furnished condo with a lovely equipped kitchen, nice pool, flat screen TV's, lovely high beds, down comforters. Wow. There's an elec. power
plant nearby and some iffy-looking apartments across the street, but once you step into the condo, all is forgotten.

We loved it - so did our little dogs!

This place is GREAT!!! The one bedroom apartment we stayed in - 8 nights - was serviced daily and exactly what we were expecting - very comfortable, quiet, nice ambiance, good kitchen to prepare our own food, great bed, internet access and pet friendly ( although we saw only one other pet while there). We loved the BBQ areas at the pool which we used every night !!! We enjoyed being able to bring our own food to the pool with no one pressuring (as at hotels and most resorts) to purchase drinks and snacks - who wants to be interrupted in the middle of a good book with an offer to "get you something"! The flipside being no attendants to meet requests, poolside. We enjoyed the fact that the pool was open 24/7(unlike hotels) -only disappointment was not being able to bring pets into the pool area. Loved it.

These serviced apartments were amazing. Very luxurious with the added bonus of a housekeeper.
Would highly recommend if you want to be away from madness of the Strip

Great Rooms No Service to be Found

 3/5

This is basically a condo hotel or a timeshare not sure. Thus the level of service is nonexistent compared to a hotel. It has big rooms like quite a few places in Vegas and is big. the rooms are nice and the location though off the strip way off, is fine. The issue is you call and get vouice mail. Who has ever called a hotel and gotten voice mail. We lost a cell phone in a room with a charger bright red and called the morning we checked out and it is gone. I have not had this happen ever in a hotel. So if a big room nice views and no service is what you are looking for this is your place. If you want to be near Vegas strip, normal hotel service this is not for you.

Meridian Luxury Suites

 4/5

Review by: , Oceanside, United States

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel matched the description on the web. It is definitely a hidden oasis in the midst of Las Vegas. The kitchen was lovely with all of the amenities of home. (maybe better) We were very comfortable the the four days of our stay, which included three adults, one child and a set of twin babies.

We were caught a few times at the pool without our door opener so that made it a little difficult. Everything is under lock and key and very secure. You not only need your room key but an opener to open the doors to the building.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. We will stay there again on our next trip to Las Vegas.

Meridan Luxury Suites in Las Vegas was a pleasant suprise

After a busy week in Nevada, we decided to stay at this off strip hotel/resort for 2 days to have a bit of a break from the casinos etc. Looking for a place that still allowed us walking distance from the mid area of the strip, pool and the option to eat/cook in our room proved a bit of a challenge and seeing this met our needs we gambled on booking there. What a huge relief to find that not only did the Meridian meet our desires, but exceeded expectations of the room. With a kitchen design and appliances to dream of this tastefully decorated and spacious suite was almost painful to leave. The pool was great, the grounds clean and secure, parking was a snap and service superb. Would be nice if they offered shuttle, but other than that...WoW! Will be Back/
