the stratosphere served a specif purpose for us: to sleep and act as a place to put our stuff while hiking and sightseeing around the vegas area. the first night the room that was provided was defintly in the older part of the hotel and everything about the room was older. despite requesting in my reservation a king size bed all they had when we checked in was two queen size beds. they did however move us the next day to a much newer tower, with a king size bed. overall the ventalation system stinks so if you dont like recking of smoke stay elsewhere or absolutely minimize your time in lobbies/ gambling areas. as we dont gamble i dont have an opinion on the startospheres suitability for that activity. it was ahowever a fair price for a clean room. one thing to note: EVERYTHING is an extra charge includingtheuseofthepoolandinternetaccess.

I would not recommend the Stratosphere to others. It is not a walking distance to the main part of the strip and the facilities lack somewhat the impact of Las Vegas. Eventhough it is one of the least expensive hotels I feel my expectations were not met. The room was on a Non-Smoking floor and still smelled like cigarette constantly. The drinks at the hotel are not much different pricewise from other high end hotels. Overall I expected more.

Rooms were large and roomy. Clean and very comfortable beds. They only had around 20 channels on the TV, which didnt bother me because I was only there one day. My husband may have been disappointed if he had gone because of no ESPN. I had a nice view on the 19th floor of Downtown Las Vegas. It is very close to downtown which was fun as it seemed to give me the old feel for Las Vegas before all the mega casinos. I would have liked to have had some of the standard amenities in the room such as ironing board, iron, coffee maker,but, again for one night it was a great place to stay for me! I would definitely return. One disappointment when I arrived it was around 3:00PM and a long cross country flight. None of the restaurants, other than a snack like place, were open then.

Rooms were clean and new. Great Value for the price. Multiple restaurants within the casino a very nice Buffet. I wanted to try the Italian restaurant but they only had an evening menu.

I would Recommend it to others and I exp like Roxy's diner, it's the best. The only thing I really didn't like was the fact that you are kind of far away from the main casinos on the strip because of all the construction going on right now but over all it's a very good value for the money and I was very pleased with my stay.
