Great central location. Well equipped rooms with air con, spacious bathroom and compact but functional kitchenette - decor a little tired but not an issue. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Roof terrace and pool an outstanding asset - amazing views over most of Lisbon, the river, the castle, and Restauradores and Rossio.

I have been staying at the VIP Eden once or twice a month on business for over a year. It is a lovely deco building that has been converted from a theatre into a hotel. This conversion was done about 10 years ago, so at this point, some of the docor is beginning to show wear and tear, but the rooms are large and all have a kitchenette, hoover, iron, etc, since it is an 'apartment hotel'. The staff is lovely. They are all friendly and helpful. I've never met one that I had any problems with. There is almost no staff turnover, so the people at the desk now are mostly the same people I met a year ago. My one complaint is the breakfast. I find it over-priced (8,50 euros) and not very good. But, there is a great pastelaria just one building away!
