Hotel Britania

I stayed at the Britania with my adult son. We found the location superb. It was quiet (one street off the main street) but still close to the Metro and the center city. The staff helped me arrange a private driver to an out of the way site I needed to visit (2 hours outside of Lisbon) and also directed us to great restaurants when we asked. The room was comfortable and spacious. We liked the breakfast buffet. All staff responded promptly to special requests and as they said when thanked, "they were just doing their job."

This is a gorgeous art deco hotel in an excellent location. The rooms are huge and well furnished . Service is first class ,
What more can you want ?

Absolutely!!
Everything impressed us, from the staff, to the friendliness and helpfulness, to the decor (wonderful) and to the cleanliness (outstanding).
Very good value for money.
Our expectations were more than met.....

We really loved the invitation to have complimentary tea and cakes in the library. Breakfast also was excellent.

This is an outstanding hotel in every respect.

The rooms were large, immaculate and comfortable and the full English breakfast buffet was very well done. There is a well-stocked bar and lounge where guests like to relax in the late afternoon and evening. Complimentary Portuguese pastries were available throughout the day while complimentary port wine and Ginjinha, a traditional Portuguese liqueur were served in the evening. Most impressive, however, was the attentive multilingual staff that made our stay so enjoyable. In all our visits to hotels around the world, these were the warmest, and most accommodating of any hotel personnel we have ever encountered. The Britania was our home in Lisbon for six days and we were sorry to leave. It was an excellent value and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lisbon.

This is an exceptional boutique hotel for which, thanks to Skoosh, I paid an exceptionally low price. I bought my wife her for her birthday and it could not have been better - beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, large room; wonderful art deco public areas; pleasant breakfast buffet with good range of fresh choices, excellent quiet location with 5 minute easy walking to main city centre squares, plus metro stop within 100m, but, above all, a fantastic staff who were all, without fail, exceedingly friendly and helpful, spoke excellent English and did everything in their power to make our stay an outstanding success. Oh, and not only did they put flowers in our room (as requested via Skoosh), they also threw in free bottle of bubbly and strawberries to celebrate my wife's birthday. Hotel Britania (and Skoosh), I salute you.
