The hotel is located in the city centre with views of the castle 'St Jorge'. The famous Rossio square is 50 metres away. The location is excellent. The hotel enjoys a superb location right in the centre of Lisbon and close to main restaurants, bars and sights of attraction. Facilities include 2 restaurants, a bar, meeting rooms, and private parking and famous wine cellar. Also in front of the hotel you can take the famous 28 tram which will take you from the hotel to the most important sights of the city. The half day city tour of the city is included . City tour includes: Drive across the Bridge 25th of April. Stop at Belem Tower and Padrão dos Descobrimentos (monument of the discoveries). Visit of the church in Jeronimos Monastery. Visit Coach Museum (closed on Mondays, but replaced by visit to Ajuda palace). Port Wine Tasting. Walk through Alfama quarter- Praça de Comércio, Baixa/Rossio, Liberdade Avenue and Marquês de Pombal. MP 09/08. The outside is modern and has been totally renovated. The lobby is medium and modern. It is well lit, marbled and tastefully decorated leading to a bar. The restaurant is of very high standard, serving a very good choice of Portuguese and international dishes as well as a good variety of wines. The restaurant has a very nice view of the St Jorge castle and the old Lisbon. The rooms vary in size. All are spacious and very comfortable with all the modern facilities. 2 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 2 minute walk to the nearest metro station (rossio), 20 km to the nearest beach, 8 kms to the nearest airport (lisbon), Close to the station (rossio station).

I WOULD SAY THAT THIS HOTEL IS NOT A BEST CHOICE IN LISBON. FIRST NIGHT WE GOT ROOM THAT WAS A CATASTROPHY,SMALL,BAD SMELL,NO LIGHT...AFTER DEMEND FOR BETTER ROOM WE GOT ONE ...BUT STILL I THINK THATS NOT 4* HOTEL ROOM STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND HELPFULL,SPEAKING ENGLISH LOBBY AND RESTAURANT WAS NICE BREAKFAST WAS OK,BUT NOT WITH TOO MUCH CHOICE OF FOOD LOCATION IS NOT THE BEST NEITHER,ITS IN THE CENTER BUT NOT IN THE GOOD PART OF THE CITY I THINK NEXT TIME I WOULD TAKE OTHER HOTEL IN GENERAL HOTEL IS NOT BAD AND I THINK THAT 100$ PER ROOM PER NIGHT IS OK PRICE FOR IT

Find better elsewhere

The walls are paperthin. Don't let them put you under the restaurant or next to elevators. My room was unacceptable b/c it was right under the main restaraunt and across from the elevators - so loud at 10:30pm the TV couldn't even cover the noise. The Manager lied and said they were all bull but in actuality there were open rooms b/c eventually they moved me...had to pack up my stuff and move at 11pm when I could have (and should have) been moved earlier in the afternoon when I asked to move in the first place. Extra pillows in closet were still covered with dirtly pillow cases. The safe in the room does not have a lock on it - you have to pay extra for that. They should not be able to say the rooms come with safes. Would not recommend, especially for the money.

The Hotel Mundial was just what I was looking for

The hotel is very close to all the main sights in the centre of Lisbon making walking to places easy and is located just off the main square - Rossio. Access to the metro is easy for further afield. The price of the hotel was good value, staff were helpful, the room spacious and breakfast satisfactory - what else do you need? All in all it was just what I was looking for - and would recommend to others
