Great hotel, internet was free, but was flaky--web surfing was fine, but had issues with Skype and Slingbox.

The Hotel Zenit was perfect for us - a smallish hotel, quiet and well run. The staff were very attentive and helpful, they all spoke English. The rooms are clean and modern, with lots of hot water in the shower. Although the hotel is not right in the old part of Lisbon, it is only 1 1/2 blocks to the metro, which is extremely efficient and cheap (buy a one day pass) and in 10 minutes you are "downtown". There are not a lot of restaurants nearby for dinner, however again you are not far from the main areas. We did not have the Hotel breakfast as we prefer to have coffee in any of the numerous little coffee shops nearby. Our stay at the Hotel Zenit made our trip to Lisbon very memorable - we would definitely stay there again.
