The hotel will be undergoing refurbishment work on the East Wing Lobby from 19/11/2012 until approximately 15/07/2013 (completion date subject to change). During this period, the East Wing entrance, the lobby, Lobby bar and Whisky Lounge will be unavailable. Access to the hotel will move to the Groups Entrance on Harbour Road and Costa Coffee will operate from the Minako Restaurant on the 23rd Floor of the Tower. Minimal disturbance is expected.

The hotel will be undergoing refurbishment work on the main entrance and reception area from 19/11/2012 until approximately 10/09/2013 (completion date subject to change). The main entrance on Edgware Road will be moved to the Tower Wing Entrance located just around the corner on Harbet Road.

Hilton Metropole

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Also on the day I checked out I left my bags in luggage and collected them in the evening. I had a few hours to wait for my train and I asked if it was possible to use the pool still. They said no problem and a towel was provided too.

The hotel itself is very nice. But a few things let it down. When we checked into our room all seemed fine untill we used the bathroom which had the previous customers hair on the floor. And this was not cleaned properly the 3 nights we were there. We had a fire alarm at 5am and after we had ran down the stairs from the19th floor along with others. There was no one to inform us where to go until we got to the reception where they just said go back to bed. The swimming pool is vastly lacking size. 12.5 meters for a hotel that sleeps over 2000 is quite cosy. The breakfast is good and the hotel is very nice although probably over priced. I would rate it average

Hilton London Metropole

Great location, easy access to London Underground, and a short (20min) walk to Oxford Street. Very busy at the time we stayed, so we opted for breakfast in our room for an extra 3.50 (GBP) which was fabulous, on time and hot!!! Great coffee shop in foyer, internet access is not free our only downside.
