Review The Kensington Close Hotel & Spa

Very nice hotel

 5/5

The hotel is of a very high standard and the staff appear very professional and very service minded. The rooms are not large but neat and clean. We got on arrival offered to upgrade to a bigger and brand new room for only £ 20 per. day, however, we did not choose. Breakfast can be recommended. There certainly do not lack anything. The hotel's location is perfect for day trips. Nearest subway is just 5 minutes away. This visit was our third and we will definitely choose this hotel again.

My son and I stayed at the hotel for a "boys trip to London".
The Kensington Close is a hotel that I will recomend.
The standard is good and the staf is service minded.

The breakfast buffet is "boring". Could (should) be better.
Expect extra waitingtime to enter the breakfast as the staf has to follow you to a free table. I think this is a cind of misunderstood service. Maybe it it´s suppose to gives an impresion of high class service, but it´s only frustrating.

We stayed in a small room to keep the budget down. The room is really small, so I would rekomend to upgrade to the next level, though you´r not planning to spend to much time in the room.

The hotel is centraly situated, so it´s easy to get around in London. We will be back..

Kensington experiences

 4/5

Underground service stopped during my stay (Dec. 26-30) at High Street Kensington, and the swimming pool opened only between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. with no spa service. Still, buses run 24 hours/7. The breakfast was fine and the consierages were friendly. All the staff were intrernational, meaning no British employees working. Kensington Palace and the parks were fantastic despite the wet weather. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is centrally located with easy access to the Tube and other places of interests. The staff is very much welcoming and helpful. The rooms are very clean and the newly renovated dining rom is superb. Although the hotel is undergoing extensive renovations, you hardly notice it. Good value for money

Being Refurbished but Great Location

 3/5

Review by: , Solihull, United Kingdom

Stayed: Mar 2011

Pretty good value for a well located Knightsbridge Hotel. Reason why it's good value is that it is currently (March2011) covered in scaffolding- but it did not cause problems and building work noise was confined to the daytime. Rooms are tired, so the refurbishment is needed. But everything worked, the breakfast was good and the staff at breakfast were well organaised. Great for the Albert Hall and Kensington Gardens.
