it was in a great location for exploring but not for getting any sleep! It is yards from the main road which is very busy 24 hours a day. The windows of the hotel do not keep the noise out to the point that we thought the window was actually open but it wasn't. The hotel needs updating. Our room was on a slight slant as the bedside cabinet indicated veering to the left. As the shower cubicle was only a small square one, it would have been better if the shower itself did not have a fixed head so you could move it to soap yourself, although there was not much water coming out of it anyway. The staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast that was included was what we expected really.

Old World Style if you are into that sort of thing

The London Elizabeth hotel had a good location for me ner Lancaster Gate Tube. I would describe it as an old fashioned hotel, not really modern in any way, I had a problem with the electrical supply to my room, but the managment sorted the issue out quickly and moved me to a much better room in apology for the issue which I thought was good service. The decor would be charming for an American coming to London if that was the sort of thing they would be looking for, but a more modern style would be more to my taste. That all said, i thought it was reasonably priced and if need be I would stay there again.

Our room was fabulous! However, one of the receptionists was rather rude.
