Newly renovated (January 2002) the purpose built Country Inn & Suites Kensington, is centrally located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea - a very sought after location for London hotels. Noted for features, such as air conditioning, high speed Internet access and fully Interactive TV in each room, spacious ground floor lounges with a fireplace and small library as well as some secure garage parking, Country Inn & Suites Kensington is only a walk away from some exciting spots, such as Kensington Palace and Gardens, the Royal Albert Hall and London's main museums as well as exclusive shopping in Knightsbridge and Kensington and Earl's Court and Olympia Exhibition Centres. A short walk from Gloucester Road underground station, the rest of central London is a short ride away. Rooms and Suites feature air conditioning in each room along with all the other up to date amenities you would expect, such as en-suite bath and shower, two 'phones with voicemail and data-ports, high speed Broadband Internet access, electronic door locks, a complimentary tea and coffee hospitality tray, in-room safe, trouser press, fully interactive TV with satellite movies and a choice of top CD's to download and listen to. Clean, Affordable, Wonderful Staff, Good Location

My expectations were met. The rooms were small but adequate. Walls are thin but who wants to hang out in a hotel anyway? It's only for sleeping and showering. Nice and Clean - My bathroom had a funny odor but it was sparkling clean. I think it's the London water. Affordable - I searched and searched for the best price and this was it by far. Wonderful Staff - very helpful and friendly. Good Location - I traveled with my best friend and her 75 y/o grandmother. This is located a short walking distance from Earls Court and Gloucester Stations. Most attractions were less than a 20 minute tube ride away.

Hotel Sweatbox

I can't recommend this hotel. The room was cramped and the cooling system didn't work. This problem was exacerbated by exterior windows that don't open. Staff were polite and helpful and the Kensington location is good, but the room itself was most unpleasant.

Rooms too small

This was the last place we stayed during a 3 and a half week trip to Europe which included hotels and B and B's. it was the smallest, most awkward room we stayed in. We were not at all happy with it. Other than that the hotel was fine: well located, clean, courteuos staff. I don't think I would recommended to others.

The rooms are quite small and the noise level can be somewhat annoying. That said, the room was clean, there were no problems booking in or checking out and the breakfast was ok. The main positives of staying in this hotel were the location (5 min walk to Glouester Road Station) and the price of the booking with Skoosh. I would consider staying in this hotel again pending on the prices/offers available.
