Would not stay at Lancaser London again

While the first impressions of this hotel are good, & it's in quite a good location, the service lets the hotel down to the point where we won't be going back. 17 pounds per day is too much for WiFi! We had booked a twin room for our adult children which wasn't available - unless we paid 24 pounds more to upgrade. Had problems charging back to our room. Food in restaurant, and room service both sub-standard. On check-out they tried to charge us even more. Recommendation - find somewhere else to stay!

Traditional Lancaster

The Lancaster London is a hotel that shows both class and traditions. The service from the staff was excellent, and the breakfast buffet was including both hot, and cold options and additional options with some surcharge. More than plenty of most things. The room was in good condition and was nicely cleaned. My only complaint was that the ventilation system might be a bit old so that there was a slight mouldy/moist smell in the room even after the ventilation was turned on. It was rather humid outside so this might be seasonal.

The Lancaster went out of their way to may the stay memorable

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful — I booked a night a the Lancaster London for my daughter and her boyfriend for a 21st birthday surprise trip to London. After booking, I emailed the Lancaster to ask if they could ensure they had a really nice room with a good view as I wanted their stay to be extra special - and the hotel truly excelled! Not only did they upgrade them to an Ambassador Suite (at no extra charge), but put balloons in the room and wrote Happy Birthday in chocolate on a plate and put complementary sweets and water in the room. Fantastic customer service, a beautiful hotel - and would highly recommend to everyone.

Great place to stay

Really friendly staff who tried very hard to ensure we had a great stay. Rooms although not large are good by London standards. Good location for transport and just walking in the park. Some great local pubs (Swan an Victoria) and a variety of places to eat. Hotel food was very good and we would really recommend the fabulous thai restaurant- NIPA Would always return for another break in London
