When we first arrived, the room was a bit smelly and the plumbing was not working properly. But after mentioning this to staff,we were given a different room Which was much better. Location perfect. Did the job.

Room in very good condition (recently refurbished).
Big problem though for a good sleep: sheets & blankets not wide enough to tuck in properly, so bedding comes off during the night!
Info: English breakfast supplement when booked through agencies £5, not £15 as Skoosh website!

I found the Royal National to be a huge, but still a great hotel at this cost.

This hotel was good value for the money, I did not expect much, so I was pleasantly surprised when I got there. Yes, it was a huge hotel with many rooms, and a little difficulty to find the room. But, there were maps at the elevators, and when we atarted to use them, we had no problems finding the way.

The hotel is very big and cloudy. Its old fashioned. But, for two-three nights stay it is ok. Russel Square is very easy to get to from Heathrow. Take the Piccadilly line and thats it!
