Although there isn't a pool, the staff is helpful and the rooms are spacious. The entire hotel is smoke free and the rooms are very clean. Also, the breakfast in the mornings is adequate. Overall good experience.

The price through Skoosh was very affordable. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We were in LA to do some wholesale shopping in the fashion district and this hotel was close to it.
The hotel is not fancy but it was clean. The room was quite large and the ac worked very well. The complimentary breakfast was ok, not great.
For the price we felt it was good value. The hotel met our expectations, it didn't exceed them but it did meet them.

Though it's value for money but the customer relations manager and staff at the front desk were unfriendly and hardly smile. I made a phone call and it costs $2.50. After the call at approximately 7.00pm, the reception insisted that I need to made payment immediately despite they have all my credit card details and personal particulars! I stayed at the second floor and it's inconvenient to go down to the front office to do such a payment immediately. Certainly, I believe all payments could be settled when guest check out of the hotel!

I stayed here in 1981 as a 14 year old going to Dodger games right when it opened. I have rediscovered with my family in the past year. We like the location & atmosphere! They are not the friendliest bunch, but it is a good place to affordably stay downtown (and a stone's throw from Dodger stadium). Go to Ocean Seafood & Phillipes (inventor of the French Dip) for good food in the area.
