Axotel Perrache is a 3 star hotel in Lyon.
Only a stoneīs throw from the Lyon Perrache TGV train station and 150 meters from the metro and tram station, the 2 star Axotel Perrache is a gracious and friendly hotel where every stay is a pleasant experience thanks to the high level of service. Rooms are decorated in warm colours; new fabrics and furniture are easy on the eye and all rooms equipped with telephone, satellite TV and modem connection. The hotel also offers guests a bar and restaurant to savour the local cuisine and specialities from the Lyon region. You can also enjoy a large continental buffet breakfast . Donīt miss this hotel!
The location was very convenient to the train station. The staff was very nice and the facility very clean. The rooms were very, very small, barely enough room to turn around. The breakfast was excellent.
My main criticism is that we had to pay in advance, and in U.S. dollars. By the time we actually arrived the exchange rate had changed and the 80 Euro room should have cost $103 instead of $126.40. Other hotels that we reserved in France didn't put the charge through until we actually checked out.

The Axotel worked nicely for the 6 of us. We had 3 rooms and they were all ready when we arrived at 9:00am. We left our bags in the rooms and went out walking. Go directly through the train station and you are on your way to great shops and dining. The breakfast was plenty and everything was good. This was a good value.
