Praga Hotel

If you decide on the Praga, be sure to get a smokin deal for staying in this hotel.
Pros: the location is great - close to a metro stop, grocery store, panderia, a falafal joint, and a coffee shop run by an italian (the coffee is fabulous!). hotel staff was friendly and helpful. the restaurant has great food.
Cons: the walls are paper thin - my mom and i could hear EVERYTHING that our neighbors were doing. the rooms are somewhat small. Although I previously stated that the Praga is in a great location, it is far from the city center. If you don't mind taking the metro (which you shouldn't, if you used public transit before - namely trains- you should be fine) then the location shouldn't hold you back. however, if you feel uncomfortable taking the metro, then find something closer to the center.

I can see why the hotel got rated as a 4 star in the 80's but it def. needs some updating in my opinion to not become a 3 star. The hotel is clean but dated and both my girlfriend and I found front desk people rude. I think its ideal for business but be aware that its about a 25 minuet bus or metro ride to gran via and all of the other main attractions.
