Had really high expectations of the brand as hadnt stayed in a Malmaison before.
Excellent location, friendly reception staff and plush lobby and brasserie areas were real positives on arrival.
Unfortunately the rooms were a real let down the theme was Moulin Rouge but everything looked really tired and dated there was a lot of dust in the room and as most of the paintwork was black it was chipped making it look quite tacky. The room was quite dark so it was difficult to get ready and the bathroon was very small. The hotel corridors were also dark and depressing making everything seem gloomy.
Didnt spoil the experience as we had an excellent weekend and the hotel was an offer package not sure I would pay full price but would be willing to give other locations a try.

Would recommend this hotel. We upgraded on arrival for a charge of £10 and got a spacious room with a huge, extremely comfortable bed. The bathroom was lovely and had a separate shower cubicle with a very powerful shower. Breakfast was great too. Orders for hot breakfast are taken and cooked to order with is much nicer than helping yourself. My only issue was with the bill. They tried to charge me for the room although it was prepaid. Then they charged a supplement for breakfast even though it was included in the price. So check your invoice!

The Malmaison Manchester was a fab hotel, with amazingly comfortable bed and great facilities. The attention to detail was very good. Free wifi available throughout the hotel. Breakfast is a must for excellent choice and quality of produce.
Am going to book again very soon and with Skoosh as they gave me a great deal and was hassle free.
