We had a bit of trouble finding the hotel only because we did not expect it to be so close to the Piccadily station!

Although it took us a bit of time to check in, the room we were given was very nice. The facilities in the kitchen are a bit dated though and some of the utensils do not seem to have been properly washed, although this was not a major problem as we only made breakfasts during our stay.

The hotel could also get a bit noisy over the weekend as it seems to be quite popular with weddings.

I would recommend this hotel to families.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was excellent. As it is only 5 minutes walk from the town centre/Arndale centre it makes it a great hotel for a city break. I would definately stay here again.

I took my wife for a surprise birthday night away. We were both very happy with the overall experience. Staff were very helpful and always assisting if required.

Room was fabulous with great views of the city.

Breakfast in the podium bar & restaurant had plenty of choice which was great and was self service.

Only downside were the prices of drinks in the cloud 23 bar but overall a great experience and would recommend this hotel when in Manchester.

We recommend this hotel. Two minutes to tram station and city centre, ten minutes walk to Old Trafford and short walk to Lowry. Nice area in Salford Quay. The old Manchester docks turned into a lovely area.
Hotel nice and clean. Exellent breakfast.
Shower in bathtub is not our favourit . Old fashion tv.
Good value for money.

We would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the city center or going to the ethiad stadium.

Staff very helpful, room and hotel in general very clean & well presented. Would have considered it excellent value apart from the fact the air con had been left on prior to our arrival (temp reached -2 degrees on night of our stay!) and we could not turn it off. It took several phone calls to reception & over an hour in a bitterly cold room before my partner thumped the controls in frustration & the heater started working. Also, heated towel holder in bathroom had been disconnected, leaving room freezing. The temp problem was a real shame as otherwise we were very happy with the hotel - nice breakfast too! I would use the hotel again despite this - would just insist on an immediate room transfer if same problem occurred.

We went to Manchester to watch a game at Old Trafford. The stay at the hotel was very good. It was clean, new and the service was very good. It was only about 1,3 k from Old Trafford.

I would fully recommend the Lowry to others and for the price we got it for, it was very good value for money! All of our expectations were met and with a superb breakfast the next day we was set up perfectly for the next leg of our journey!

My boyfriend and I stayed here to see Pearl Jam at the Arena - really handy location for the arena, the Arndale centre, bars etc. Within walking distance to Picadilly train station too.

Staff were really friendly and helpful, lent out hairdryers/ironing boards etc without charge.

Breakfast (included in price of our room) was varied, with cooked and continental.

Our room was clean and was really spacious and with tea/coffee facilities. There was some noise from building works outside early the next morning but didn't really affect our stay, although was too warm to shut windows so you could hear it.

In all a fab stay at a great price!

My husband and I stayed 1night in the hotel for "soccer aid" as the location of the ground was very near. We were given a ground floor room (No 7) the room was very basic and small but we thought it was ok for a nights stay, We asked for a room change as the window would not shut. They gave us an other room straight away (No30) and this was double the size with a settee and lots more space, so we were very pleased. The breakfast was very good with quite abit of choice and the staff were really pleasant and helpful,The hotel does need updating as its looking rather tired but I would return to the hotel if we ever needed 1 or 2 night stay and were put into room 30! It was a refreshing change to have such cheerful and helpful staff in all departments!

I would recommend this hotel to others. What impressed me was that it was in a good location, room was very clean, breakfast was good and staff were courteous. When we were given a double room instead of a twin room, we were moved within five minutes, no problem. I didn't receive the wake up call or taxi that I ordered for the next morning. But reception got a taxi straight away when I asked. It was very good value for money and I was very happy overall.

From the outset, the staff and reception area are pristine. The staff are very helpful and provide you with the information you require to have an enjoyable stay
It is excellent value for money
It is my first choice hotel in Manchester and it always meets my expectations

Basic rooms, shower only, not at all spacious but for just a night it was great for us. Conveniently located for Trafford centre and a 10 minute walk from old Trafford. Scenic, comfortable and great parking will definately use again and have used previously :)
