loved the pool, didn't like the drink prices, a little high for my taste. Food at pool side left alot to be desired.

People were nice, rooms were clean.
Over all not bad!

The rooms could use some relatively inexpensive updates to improve the overall experience (shower head, lamp shades, TV), but the amenities available on the grounds were exceptional (pool, restaurant/tiki bar, marina, private beach area, recreational facilities). Definitely a good value for the money - especially compared to other properties in the area.

We loved the hotel! It was exactly what we wanted. The hotel was charming, clean and a great price. It was a great value for the money. We would recommend it to anyone. The hotel staff was excellent. We only had two disappointments: Although there was a fridge in the room, we would have loved a microwave too. The other disappointment was not necessarily a fault of the hotel. We chose the Banana Bay partly because there was an activities charter colocated at the hotel. We tried to charter some activities through Captain Jerry's service but the people associated with the service were so rude and unfriendly that we did all of our activities through a different service. We never even went down to the dock behind our own hotel. We still had a great time and we would still recommend the hotel. Just don't use Captain Jerry's charter service.

I would not recommend banana bay.
We were impressed with the cleaning service. They did the best they could with what they had to work with.
We had stayed there before and were really impressed so we tried it again. It seems to have lost a lot of its luster.
Our bed mattress was broken down. Wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom. Pillows and linens were worn. The whole place just seemed to be worn out.

would definitely recommend this motel. It has a very tropical feeling to it. Was very clean; and people friendly. Wish we could have stayed longer than we did. Nice pool area, with hot tub. Wish the bar and restaurant would have stayed open a little later than it did. But then again, everything on the islands seem to close earlier than we are used to. Excellent value, and was a whole lot nicer than we expected.
