The reviews do not justify this place. I stayed for 6 days at this hotel with 6 other friends and we thought it was worth the price. The rooms are big, not too run down, the pool is clean, beautiful poolside views, ( no nice window views though), Beach is right out back and is located in the middle of every place you will need to go. They even allowed us to check in 4 hours earlier for $28 for two rooms! The front desk was very nice, they even let us change our rooms so we could be close to our 2nd room we booked. I loved it

Continental Oceanfront hotel in South Miami Beach urgently needs room upgrades (leaking faucet, worn out beds, paint), as they are in terrible condition. Contrarily, the staff was very friendly and the lobby looks great.

Well, my expectations were pretty non-existent after reading the reviews. Would I stay there again? No. Did it work for the night? Yes. But I wouldn't sleep there sober. It's pretty much a dump and the people there are as rude as possible but it is a great location. We tried checking in at 12 and the lady wouldn't even talk to us and told us checkin is at 4 so we went back at 345 and she tried saying there were no rooms available when miraculously all the rooms were ready at 4 on the dot when people were ready to start going crazy. If you want to pass out, this will do but don't expect much more.

I would recommend this hotel. Its a nice place for the price. Not too far from all of the action. The hotel has a nice lobby with bar and they have a restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. there is a bar outside by the pool, a plus for those who don't leave the hotel. Again its a convenient location and the price is right.

1. Have a car? No parking at this hotel, and they recommend you to a valet around the corner. Guess what - takes FOREVER to get your car and it costs $24/day. I followed him and found that he was parking in a lot on 16th and collins for $16/day. Park there and leave it for the duration of your stay - walking and taking cabs will turn out cheaper and easier.
2. This hotel is bare minimum. You get what you pay for. Here's why it's so cheap: No staff. Pool closes at 7pm, locked and barred. Overall trashy feel.
3. Finally, the receptionist handed me one door key, and at checkout they charged me $10 for not handing them two. Strange custom that I'm not familiar with, I guess...
4. Great free internet in lobby! Useful little in-room refrigerator.
