This is an excellent hotel for the moderate rate and great for families. The two pools are perfect, one for little ones and a large main pool. Plus, the beach is literally steps away from the pool. They have a kids program with fun and games going on all day around the pool deck. The room was a good size and the pull down bed comfortably slept 2 children. It was convenient to have the fridge and microwave. Both beds were very comfy and had nice linens. Our family will definately go back here. It was a great place to stay for a couple of days prior to a cruise or for a week long vacation. There are shops and restuarants on the strip, all within walking distance of the hotel. Great location.... $32 cab ride from the Ft.Lauderdale airport and $45 cab ride to the Port of Miami.

The hotel, staff & grounds were great. My granddaughter really enjoyed the kids program out by the pool (though it's not available on Sundays). One suggestion: add some kid-size food items to the poolside cafe. The breakfast buffet was very good, but our dinner at The Pelican left a bit to be desired. All in all, we would definitely stay there again.
