first day we checked in that fornt desk gave us a badly view room that feeling like we spent $200 /night stay at motel...I asked for change a nice view room at least it should looks like pic of wedsite..we changed to face garden and pool...it's really feel better..but the room is kinda small and restroom is very small too... i have to say if u looking for hotel and u'll stay most of time at room ..I wont recommend this hotel for u but .. if u're very easy going ppl and like to enjoy sun and pool ..it's nice spot for u cz.' they have really nice pool view and garden also bayside restaurant...

Overall, had a great experience here. If you are looking for a more relaxing stay, this is the place. Hip and stylish without being too full of itself. THE PROS: SPA : hamam, sauna, steam...all excellent and available to all guests; GYM: big for a hotel and equipment variety is great; GROUNDS: relaxing vibe, well-maintained; POOL: large, perfect temperature, lounge chairs always available; SERVICE: front desk/concierge helpful and accommodating; wait staff at restaurants were great; LOCATION: away from the chaos of South Beach, yet close enough to walk to Lincoln Road; restaurants: great food .........THE CONS: ROOMS: nice, but have a "damp" feel to them; NOISE: because all rooms lead outside, it can get noisy, esp. if you have a guests next door have a dog; SEVICE AROUND POOL: towel servicepoor and they run out of towels frequntly.
Again...overall, great hotel and would definitely stay there again!

The hospitality was awful but the rooms were clean and the pool was great.

First of all, we had a large van and they refused to help us park it except on a lot miles away. We had expensive equipment in it so we couldn't just park it in public. The front desk guy was way too cool for school and wouldn't help.

There was no menu in the room and the mini bar was not stocked. There was an open bottle of champagne from the last guest.

When I went to the pool there were no towels. I asked someone for a towel and he said they were all in the dryer. Everyone there was drunk and annoying. Beers were $10 and included a 15% gratuity. I'll never stay at the standard again.

What a great place to plant oneself for a while! I needed a break and I certainly got everything i expected and more. While the staff seemed slightly disorganized and the drinks a bit pricey ($12), I was thoroughly impressed and would definitely return. The Standard works for singles and couples alike; solo travellers will feel just as welcome and comfortable in the shade with a book as couples frolicking together in the pool. The spa services and practitioners are top notch and the option to DIY is a cool and affordable twist. Do not miss the Hamam Rub & Scrub or a massage with Akshaya (sp? double check his name!). I am looking forward to going back and booking through skoosh as the savings were *incredible*!

When I first saw the room I was a little nervous....the rooms are SMALL. But the next day when I walked through the hotel i realized that you are paying for the amenities.

The pool was beautiful - not that crowded, always able to get a chair, and it looked over the biscayne bay. (They offer kayaks at the hotel so you can paddle along the bay).

The food was delicious, and the spa was fantastic! I will always stay there every time I go to Miami.
